Thermador Refrigerator Repair Near Me in Lewisville & Lake Dallas, Dallas, TX

The reservoir that dominates this corner of Denton County was first impounded as Lake Dallas in the 1920s and later enlarged and renamed Lewisville Lake; the city of Lake Dallas, on the west shore beside Hickory Creek, kept the older name. Housing here ranges from compact lots near the I-35E frontage roads to newer subdivisions spreading west and north as the county has filled in, and many homes put the laundry and a second refrigerator in an attached garage.

Three local conditions shape what fails. North Texas summers push garage air well past the ambient rating that many refrigerators and freezers are designed for, so condenser fans and start components work harder for longer. The expansive clay under much of Denton County shrinks in drought and swells after rain, and that slow foundation movement can tilt a washer, dishwasher or range off level until doors misalign and drums vibrate. And municipal water drawn from area lakes carries enough dissolved mineral to leave scale on inlet valve screens, ice maker fill tubes and dishwasher spray arms.

Spring and early-summer thunderstorms add a fourth factor: brief outages and voltage spikes that reach electronic control boards. When a board is suspected, the technician checks the supply side first, including outlet voltage and the appliance's own fuses, so a surge-damaged board is distinguished from a failed sensor feeding it bad data.
