LG appliances surface clear fault codes. Here are the ones we see most often and what they mean.

LG Washer Codes

  • OE: Not draining — check the pump filter and drain hose.
  • UE: Unbalanced load — redistribute the laundry.
  • IE: Not filling — check the inlet hoses and screens.
  • LE: Motor locked or overloaded — often the Direct Drive sensor.

LG Dryer Codes

  • D80/D90/D95: Vent is 80–95% blocked — clean the duct now.
  • tE: Thermistor fault.

LG Refrigerator Codes

  • rF: Fan circuit fault.
  • dH: Defrost heater taking too long.
