Oven Control Panel Not Responding

A frozen or dark touch panel is often a lockout, a power glitch, or a failed control board.

Before condemning the control board, rule out the simple causes of an unresponsive panel.

Clear the Control Lock

Many ovens have a lock that disables the panel.

Fix: Hold the lock or clear key for a few seconds to release it.

A momentary glitch can lock up the electronics.

Fix: Switch off at the breaker for a minute, then restore power.

If it stays dark or unresponsive, the membrane or control board may have failed.

Fix: A technician can test and replace the affected part.
