A washer that is completely unresponsive usually has a simple explanation. Start here.
Confirm Power
A tripped breaker or a GFCI outlet is a frequent cause of a dead machine.
Fix: Reset the breaker and test the outlet with another device.
Door or Lid Not Latched
Front-loaders will not start until the door lock engages with a click.
Fix: Press the door firmly until it latches; if it never clicks, the lock may need replacing.
Control Lock or Delay Set
A child lock or a delay-start timer can make the washer appear dead.
Fix: Hold the indicated button for three seconds to clear the lock and cancel any delay.
