Microwave Turntable Not Spinning

A stationary plate means a misseated tray, a worn coupler, or a failed turntable motor.

A turntable that will not rotate leads to uneven heating. The causes are simple and mostly cheap.

Reseat the Tray and Roller

The glass tray and roller ring can sit off their hub.

Fix: Lift both out and refit the tray squarely onto the drive coupler.

Replace the Drive Coupler

The plastic coupler that turns the tray wears down and slips.

Fix: A new coupler is an inexpensive part.

Check the Turntable Motor

If the coupler is fine but nothing turns, the small motor under the floor has failed.

Fix: A technician can replace the turntable motor.
