Getting fridge and freezer temperatures right protects your food and your energy bill. The targets are simple.

Fridge: 37°F (3°C)

Too warm spoils food; too cold freezes produce and wastes energy.

Fix: Aim for 37°F and verify with a separate fridge thermometer.

Freezer: 0°F (-18°C)

Zero degrees keeps food safely frozen without over-working the compressor.

Fix: Set it to 0°F and avoid setting colder unless you store long-term.

Give It Time and Airflow

The display changes instantly but the cabinet takes a day to stabilise.

Fix: Wait 24 hours between adjustments and keep vents unblocked.
